Christine Dallaire-Dupont (aka Nunumi) has been involved in the Montreal animation scene for almost 15 years. She has contributed to numerous titles including Ballerina, La guerre des tuques 3D and Le magasin des suicides, and has held several roles including animator, character designer and storyboard artist. For the past few years, she has also been evolving in the comic book industry as an author. In 2017, her first book, Sky Rover, won awards in Canada (Joe Shuster Award) and Japan (Japan Media Arts Festival). Her latest book, A Ticket to Nowhere, was released in March 2019 by Cold Front. She co-directs with Nicola Lemay the animated feature Katak, The Brave Beluga, released in 2023.
After studying filmmaking / communication studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and traditional animation at the prestigious International Summer School of Animation (ISSA) at Sheridan College in Ontario, Nicola first worked mostly in the TV series animation scene as a layout artist and 2D animator between 1993 and 1999, in Canada and in Europe. During these years he also directed and animated his first independent animated short film entitled "The Star Eater", a four minutes fantasy tale, between 1996 and 2000.
In 2002-2003, he directed his first professional animated film, Noël Noël, a 22 minutes Christmas special for the National Film Board of Canada (NFB).
In 2006, he jumped in the story artist scene, doing storyboards first on Rio and Epic for Blue Sky Pictures. He also directed two more animated shorts with the NFB, "Private Eyes" and "No Fish Where to Go", winner of the Fipresci prize at the prestigious Annecy animation festival in France.
Most recently, he just finished directing his first CGI animated Feature, "Felix and the Treasure of Morgäa" (AKA: Felix and the Hidden Treasure), with 10th Ave productions in Canada. He his currently co-directing his second feature with 10th Ave, Beluga Blues.
