Recently released from prison for a murder committed under murky circumstances, David (Marc-André Grondin) struggles to adapt to his new life on the outside. Reluctantly hired through a social reintegration program to work at a pig slaughterhouse—a job he finds repulsive—he actively searches for other employment while trying to fit in with the group. But when he witnesses the cruelty of his new coworkers, he must fight even harder to suppress the violence that still lurks within him.
