Presenting Emma Stevens: A Dialogue in Images and Words
Join us for a special pre-festival evening presenting the life and work of Emma Stevens — a key figure in the cultural revival of Lac-Brome. Through excerpts from Ben McAuley’s film, accompanied by commentary from Vivien Grenier and Emma herself, we’ll revisit the moments, stages, and stories that shaped her remarkable journey.
Emma revived theatre in Lac-Brome after a 30-year hiatus, founding Theatre Lac-Brome and the Knowlton Players, directing numerous productions and nurturing local talent. Her early career began in England and continued in Canada with performances in theatre and film.
**Before the screening, join us for a BBQ-style meal at a cost of $15. The screening ticket is $12. You must purchase both tickets at the time of purchase if you wish to attend both events.
