Documentary as Influence: Between Ideology and Dissent

Two films having their premieres at the Festival — Riefenstahl by Andres Veiel and Mr. Nobody Against Putin by David Borenstein and Pavel Talankin — represent opposing cinematic approaches: one examines the ideological manipulation of cinema, while the other explores its subversive potential in the face of authoritarianism.

With the participation of Dr. Gregory Brophy, professor at Bishop’s University, this discussion delves into the enduring power of the moving image: its ability to propagate radical ideologies, but also to inspire contemporary forms of resistance.

This talk will be held in English.
