In June 2017, New York-based Canadian artist-programmers Matt Hall and John Watkinson launched a series of digital avatars in the form of NFTs (non-fungible tokens). Initially a simple experiment, this collection, named Cryptopunks, became a major event on the art market, reaching two billion dollars and creating a new generation of collectors. At the same time, Robness, a Los Angeles-based activist and crypto-art pioneer, is railing against the excessive speculation that is invading their new creative space. A cross-cultural account of an unprecedented art market, bringing together for the first time the interests of three of the world’s most powerful industries: finance, technology and art.

Followed by a virtual discussion with director Hervé Martin Delpierre.
