Yan Lanouette Turgeon

Yan Lanouette Turgeon is a Quebecois director and screenwriter, trained at L’inis and a graduate in communications and psychology from Clarkson University. He gained recognition with his debut feature film Rock Paper Scissors (2013), a critically acclaimed thriller. In 2024, he directed Miss Boots, a contemporary adaptation of the Quebec classic Bach et Bottine, which won awards at the Schlingel Festival in Germany. On television, he has directed series such as Unité 9, The Impostor, and Epidemic, earning two Gémeaux Awards for Best Directing in a Drama Series. In 2025, he was announced as the director of the biopic Villeneuve: The Rise of a Legend.
