In 1981, an unconventional man arrived in Natashquan, Quebec, marking the beginning of an unlikely love affair between the inhabitants of a small northeastern village and the young man they lovingly nicknamed “The Punk”. Only five years later, this affair came to an abrupt end when he mysteriously disappeared – shattering the community forever.

Nicolas Lachapelle

Nicolas Lachapelle is a journalist, a filmmaker, and the director of many sound documentaries. His works, which explore the relationship to territory through the themes of exile, rootedness, and memory, have been showcased at numerous festivals both in Canada and internationally. In 2022, Nicolas was awarded the Best First Documentary Work prize at the RVCQ. Recently, he received nominations for Best Short Documentary at the Gala Québec Cinéma and the Canadian Screen Awards.
