Francis Leclerc was born in Quebec City in 1971.
Francis Leclerc was born in Quebec City in 1971. While studying communications, he developed an interest in film and, in the 1990s, directed more than 20 short and medium-length films and about 50 music videos. He has directed a total of six feature films: *Une jeune fille à la fenêtre* (2001), *Mémoires affectives* (2004), *Un été sans point ni coup sûr* (2008), *Pieds nus dans l’aube* (2017), *L’arracheuse de temps* (2021), and *Le Plongeur* (2023). In addition, he has directed several advertising campaigns as well as several television series, including *Les Rescapés*, *Apparences*, *Les beaux malaises*, and *Marche à l’ombre*. He is currently preparing a big-screen adaptation of another story by Fred Pellerin, *De peigne et de misère*, as well as *Ici la Terre*, a more intimate film written by François Bernier that is set to be his next feature film.
