BACK TO THE 7th EDITION
The 7th edition of the Knowlton Film Festival marked a new stage in the development of the FFKFF. With more than 6,000 entries, record passport sales and several sessions at full or almost full capacity, the 2026 edition confirms the growing roots of the Festival in the Eastern Townships. For a week, filmmakers, actors, artisans and cinema professionals met in Knowlton around a Quebec, Canadian and international program, meetings with artists, professional activities, festive events and initiatives intended for families and to the next generation.

WINNERS – FEATURE FILM – 7th EDITION
BEST FICTION – KAIROS — Jennifer Alleyn
Special mention – DEATH DOES NOT EXIST — Félix Dufour-Laperrière
Jennifer Alleyn, director of Kaïros, winner of the Jury Prize – Fiction, receives her prize in the company of members of the jury: Francis Leclerc, president of the jury, Elyzabeth Walling, Claude Chamberlan, François Péloquin and Pascale Paroutyz.

BEST DOCUMENTARY – REPLICA — Chouwa Liang
During the closing evening, Diane Magnoux, president of the documentary jury and director of programming for the CINEMANIA Festival, prepared to present the Best Documentary Prize to Chinese director Chouwa Liang for her film Replica, in the company of the other members of the jury: Nicole Giguère, Steve Patry, Sylvie Van Brabant and Thomas Corriveau.

Laurent Bilodeau, head of the short film competition, presents the trophy to Christine Beaulieu, lead actress in Une Brèche, by Jean-François Leblanc, who won the first jury prize in the short film competition.

Vues du Québec Film Festival in Florac
For a second consecutive year, the Vues du Québec Film Festival in Florac joins the 7th edition through an exchange between Occitanie and the Eastern Townships. The program includes a screening in the presence of regional guests, followed by a discussion on the theme “Filming Locations and Territories of Creation”.
Maine International Film Festival
New partnership with the Maine International Film Festival (July 10–19). This summer, the Knowlton Film Festival will spotlight Quebec cinema through a dedicated focus featuring two feature films and five short films. In return, as part of this collaboration, the Maine International Film Festival will also be present in Knowlton with a special screening during the festival.
