After a botched armed attack on wealthy property owners, Hélène abandons her companions and flees into the forest. Manon, a friend and accomplice in the attack, returns to haunt her. Hélène must re-examine her convictions, her choices, and their consequences in a valley where metamorphoses and profound upheavals disrupt the natural order.

Born in Chicoutimi in 1981, Félix Dufour-Laperrière is a director, screenwriter, and producer. His work, characterized by a constant tension between narrative and formal exploration, maintains a close relationship with the visual and contemporary arts. His films including the documentary Transatlantique (IFFR Rotterdam 2014) have been screened at numerous major national and international festivals, museums, and events, winning several awards. Ville Neuve (2019), his first animated feature—entirely drawn and painted on paper—premiered at the Venice Film Festival. His animated documentary essay, Archipel, premiered in competition at Rotterdam in 2021. His fourth feature film, La mort n'existe pas (2025), premiered at the Directors' Fortnight in Cannes.
