Elizabeth Hébert

Elizabeth Hébert was born in 2004 in Quebec City and grew up in Sherbrooke. In 2023, she graduated from the Literature, Theatre and Creation program from the Cégep de Lévis. She has also obtained a diploma from Université Laval for a Microprogram in Ancient Greek Studies. This fall, she will be starting her second year at Bishop’s University as a Drama Major with a Musical Theatre Concentration as well as a minor in Music Performance. During her time in Cegep, Elizabeth played the role of Lavinia (as well as a witch) in the play Gloucester: Délire shakespearien written by Simon Boudreault and Jean-Guy Legault and she’s also had the chance to act in a few student short films. As her final project, she co-wrote, staged and acted in a 45-minute play called Orion. Ever since she was young, she's always loved to use her imagination to create all sorts of stories and tales. As she grew up, she never stopped writing and the stories she wrote only got longer. Through a few creative writing classes she took in Cégep, she's also learned to write things such as scripts and screenplays. Altough it is not her first time acting in a short film, Night Poet is her first experience as a screenwriter and director.
