Sasha is a young vampire with a serious problem: she’s too sensitive to kill! When her exasperated parents cut off her blood supply, Sasha’s life is in jeopardy. Luckily, she meets Paul, a lonely teenager with suicidal tendencies who is willing to give his life to save hers. But their friendly agreement soon becomes a nocturnal quest to fulfill Paul’s last wishes before day breaks.

Ariane Louis-Seize
Ariane Louis-Seize is a Montreal-based filmmaker. Her directorial debut as a director with her short film LA PEAU SAUVAGE, a fantasy drama drama that travelled to over fifty festivals around the world, winning numerous and winner of numerous awards and nominations, including Best Fiction Short Gala Québec Cinéma and the Canadian Screen Awards. She then shot LES PETITES VAGUES, selected for the Berlinale and Canada’s Top Ten at TIFF. In 2018, Ariane wrote and directed LES PROFONDEURS, followed by COMME UNE COMÈTE in 2019, both of which had their world premiere at TIFF and the Quebec premiere at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma. With COMME UNE COMÈTE, Ariane wins a dozen awards around the world, and was again nominated for the Iris award for best fiction short film at the Gala Québec Cinéma. HUMANIST VAMPIRE SEEKS SUICIDE CONSENTANT is her first feature film. The theatrical release of this is scheduled for release in fall 2023.

Justine Martin
Justine Martin is a Montreal-based screenwriter and director with a degree in film from Concordia University. In 2021, she directed her first short documentary, “Oasis”, which was noticed at IDFA, Dok Leipzig and Clermont-Ferrand, among others. “Carnaval” is her second short documentary.
